Since I posted to this blog! We received Squish #135 from the Call Family in Chandler, AZ. Nancy, Brian and Baby Lily are dear friends of ours and we are blessed to share each others journeys. This is a special squish we will treasure!
In the northern part of China, there is a tradition to make a Bai Jia Bei, or 100 Good Wishes Quilt, to welcome and celebrate a new life. It is a custom to invite 100 people to contribute a single square patch of cloth. The 100 patches are sewn together into a quilt that contains the luck, energy, and good wishes from all the families and friends who contributed a piece of fabric. The quilt is then passed down from generation to generation.
We are reaching out to family, friends, and other families who have or are adopting a child from China to contribute to our child's quilt. We will post the fabric and wishes we recieve on this blog.
